Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing (Power Sector)

In conjunction with

Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)

General Procurement Notice

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) intends to collaborate with licensed Distribution Companies and Eligible Customers to invest in the construction of new distribution lines and substations to expand the capacity of the distribution networks by an additional 2000MW. 

2.    The principal objective of the project is to deliver currently unutilized generation capacity to metered customers thereby strengthening the distribution networks and improving customer services, collection efficiency and financial viability of the Power Sector.

3.    The projects require procurement of the following components from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM):

* 33kV transmission substation busbar extensions;
* 2.5MVA, 33/11kV packaged substations;
* 2.5MVA, 33/0.415kV packaged substations;
* 1MVA, 33/0.415kV packaged substations;
* Modular 0.415/11/33kV steel towers;
* 150mm ACSR conductors; and
* 120mm 1-core armoured conductors.

4.     Detailed advertisement to guide interested bidders will be announced shortly in two (2) national newspapers and one (1) relevant internationally recognized publication, Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing (Power Sector) and Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) official websites and Federal Tenders Journal.
